Philadelphia, PA : Northern Liberties : Mounting Epiphytic Plants Workshop : Sunday, May 18th: 5:30-7:00PM
Join us on Sunday, May 18th from 5:30-7:00 pm for an engaging and hands-on workshop where you will learn the art of Mounting Epiphytic Plants!
What are epiphytic plants?
Epiphytes are plants that grow on other surfaces (like trees, rocks, or mounts) without harming their host. Instead of rooting in soil, they absorb water and nutrients through the air, rain and debris around them. They’re common in tropical rainforests but make great houseplants too!
Why mount them?
Mimics their natural growing conditions
Enhances air circulation, reducing rot
Creates stunning living art (ex. mounted staghorn ferns, air plant displays)
