Savannah : Pop Up with Emma Bird

Our goal is to build community by sharing our space through art & visual projects of our community members in our shops.

Join us on Saturday, August 16th, from 11-4 PM for a Pop Up with local artist, Emma Bird.

Through my art, I create a visual memoir and a collection of everything I love. I find a lot of my passion for art and beauty coming from the woodland landscape of my childhood home in Annapolis, Maryland. I like to create visual worlds inspired by my love of the vibrant wildlife that surrounds me. In addition to my love for nature, I draw from the eclectic collection of movies and music that filled my childhood, thanks to my family's shared passion for cinematic, musical, and artistic exploration. Using painted textured paper, scissors, and a glue stick, I create a visual world brings me back home and honors all of my favorite things. I hope to bring you on that journey with me.

My love for art and nature directed me to Savannah, Georgia, where I am now a student of illustration for publication and ceramic arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Our goal is to build community by sharing our space through art & visual projects of our community members in our shops.

Join us for on Friday, May 16th starting from 4-8PM! Meet Courtney of CC Bella Collage during our Artist Shelf Takeover Series.

About the Artist: I’m an expressive and whole-hearted artist on a mission to create eco-conscious pieces that move the viewer through a journey filled with magical intentions and surprise details. My whimsical 3D collage art was born out of an inherent need for expression, a passion for art, and the discovery that my art didn’t flow through traditional forms such as painting or drawing.

Self-taught by curiosity, play and experimentation, I became inspired to discover my own style after seeing a Robert Rauschenberg exhibit during my 20’s, while living as a professional dancer in Los Angeles. Gradually, I uncovered my brand of collage art - employing upcycled and recycled items, found materials collected from the street, a variety of art materials, sometimes my own photography, epoxy resin, poetry and affirmations - to create truly one-of-a-kind multidimensional mixed media pieces.

Join us on Friday, March 21st from 4-8 PM to meet Caitlin Kucsan during our Artist Shelf Takeover Series featuring The Graceful Way.

In taking old vintage flatware and transforming them into what I like to call "functional art pieces", my desire is to help people create a connection with timeless heirlooms that have been tucked away to collect dust or tossed by the wayside. By upcycling them into new pieces that can be used functionally among today's trends and interests, it sparks a connection not only in the way of transformation, but of honoring legacy; a way of showing the beauty in bridging what once was, to what currently is.
