Far Far Away
Step into the world of traditional Chinese painting with Andrew Blooms. “Far Far Away” is a one-week art show located inside Stump Savannah featuring a collection of hand-painted Chinese watercolor scrolls on rice paper. This collection of pieces pays homage to the ephemeral, exploring the techniques of watercolor paintings found in Asian Art from many centuries ago. Join us for a week of celebrating traditional Asian Art through this unique art show, as well as live painting demos and a Chinese Watercolor Class, where you can learn to make your own traditional Chinese art masterpiece.
Andrew Blooms is a Taiwanese-American artist, tattooer, designer and musician working currently working in Atlanta, GA. Blooms’ artworks draw inspiration from traditional Asian painting, printmaking, and tattoo and aims to reinterpret these traditional values through the lens of contemporary art. By merging the worlds of painting, tattooing, fashion & music, Blooms is working to break the boundaries of multiple mediums to create an entirely new world for people to engage with and enjoy.
Andrew is also the founder of “Blooms Emporium,” his own gallery, boutique and art class space- now with two locations in Atlanta at Ponce City Market and Atlanta Chinatown.
