Since opening our first retail shop in Columbus, OH in 2015, we’ve expanded to having multiple stores in communities we love across the Eastern US.

We are a team of passionate and knowledgable plant enthusiasts, and we’re here to guide you in choosing houseplants that you’ll have success with.

When you stop by one of our shops, we encourage you to bring in a photo of the space where you’d like to put your new plant. This will help us in suggesting the best options for houseplants that will thrive in your unique space based on the amount of natural light that’s available.

In our shops, we aren’t afraid to make the mess for you - we offer in-store repotting and plant trouble-shooting services available anytime your plant needs a little extra TLC.

Thoughtfully-Designed Products

At STUMP, we take pride in our work to select the highest-quality tropical & desert plants [cacti, ficus, dracaenas, succulents, air plants & many other houseplant varieties] and sustainably-crafted wares, from our classic terra-cotta to our custom & artist-made planters.

Since the beginning, STUMP aims to support independent artists and local manufacturers. Over 90% of our wares are made by ceramic artists in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, California, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Georgia, or in Roseville, Ohio by a manufacturer we visit regularly and interact with daily. We strive to only sell planters that have a story and will be worth keeping for many years to come.
