We have been dreaming, strategizing & investing as much as we possibly can into our business for nearly three years. The impact that STUMP has made in our own lives as well as in the countless stories that our customers have shared with us is reason enough for us to keep working as hard & as intelligently as we know how to build a brand that supports a greener future through interior plants, thoughtfully designed & crafted wares, and education about the art & design of sustainable living.
For us, we know that living closer to plants is a lifestyle that enhances air quality, inspires us to care for something other than ourselves and dramatically changes the aesthetic of our homes & offices in a way that artwork, furniture and other decor does not. We are dedicated to bringing plants into people’s lives, period.
In 2017, we moved into the small apartment above our Fifth Avenue shop, sold our house & purchased 10 acres. We did this without hesitation, knowing that the pieces would fall together if we kept following our vision for the brand. Since then, we have been working diligently to find the funds to build a small greenhouse used for back-stock, to host events, and to propagate rare plant varieties that we have discovered over the years. We also will be keeping bees, sowing wildflowers, and building a ceramics studio to revive our STUMP resident artist series.
To achieve these goals, we must ask for your help.
After investigating and applying for bank and government loans (FSA & SBA), we feel the need for a more sustainable solution for the healthy financial growth of our business. Loans can be a great resource in the right context, but this project requires the support of our community.
After carefully weighing our options, we are now seeking donations for our greenhouse and ceramic studio buildout. If you or someone you know is interested in making a donation, please follow the link to donate online or stop into one of our shops to make an in-person contribution. We would love to tell you more about the project, budget & how this venture will enhance the lives of our customers, employees & the community.
In addition to financial contributions, we are asking for your help to expand our mission. We are a small business based in Columbus, Ohio with a modest consumer base. Please share this video (INSERT HYPERLINK) with your friends to help us raise awareness about our cause and bring plants into people’s lives across the nation.
With any donation we’d like to offer several "rewards” as a thank you.
With love and appreciation,
Brian, Emily & Our Team
